Jinfang Niu is an associate professor at the School of Information, University of South Florida. She received her Ph.D degree from University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. Prior to that, she worked for the Tsinghua University Library in China for three years.
Dr. Niu is interested in the social, political and economical dimensions of the generation, diffusion, adoption and implications of innovations in libraries and archives. In the past, she studied the implications of new technologies for archives, such as the Web, digitization, EAD and linked data. She is currently analyzing the emergence and development of Research Data Management as a service innovation in libraries.
